The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) has declared exclusion zones in the Mamanuca Group for the filming of the USSurvivorseries 2024. The exclusion zones, established under the Maritime (Navigation Safety) Regulations 2014, will be in effect from May 11 to July 25, 2024.

The affected areas include Monu Riki Island, the east side of Monu Island, the northeast to southeast side of Tavua Island, Yadua Island, and Mana Island. All ships are required to maintain a distance of at least 1.5 nautical miles from the shores of the respective beaches and islands during the filming period.

Joseph Williame, MSAF Manager Qualification and Licensing, issued a public notice stating, "All ship owners/operators, masters, seafarers and the general public are advised that filming for the US Survivor series 2024 will take place in Mamanuca Group from 11 May to 25 July 2024." Ships are advised to avoid the designated areas during this time period.

However, certain ships are exempt from the restrictions, including Fiji Navy ships, Maritime Police, pilot ships, tugs, and other vessels required to attend to and undertake emergency responses. Ships seeking safe refuge at the respective islands in case of emergencies are also permitted.

The Mamanuca Islands in Fiji have been a favored filming location for the US Survivor series since the show's 33rd season in 2016. The upcoming 46th season, also known as Survivor 46, was filmed in the island group and premiered on February 28, 2024, on CBS in the United States. This marks the 14th consecutive season to be shot in the Mamanuca Islands.

The declaration of exclusion zones in the Mamanuca Group for the filming of Survivor 2024 highlights the continued partnership between the Fijian government and the long-running American reality television series. As the show prepares for another thrilling season in the picturesque islands of Fiji, the Maritime Safety Authority ensures the safety and security of all maritime activities in the designated areas during the filming period.
