Jr NBA Indonesia Launches 'Her Time to Play' Program with NBA Stars in Jakarta

Jr NBA Indonesia has launched its Her Time to Play program, aiming to develop young female basketball players in Indonesia. The program was introduced during the Jr NBA Indonesia Week in Jakarta, marking the 10-year anniversary of Jr NBA's presence in the country.

The event, held on June 1, 2024, at Gor Soemantri in Jakarta, featured NBA players Grant Williams and Marques 'Joyo' Bolden from the Charlotte Hornets. They provided basketball training to selected students, emphasizing skill development and promoting the sport.

Grant Williams expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, 'I think there will be a lot of development, maybe a little slower compared to the US, but the development of their skills is really starting to take shape.' Marques Bolden added, 'I think this is amazing. As you know, the NBA is the best basketball league in the world. So, as a global basketball competition and going around the world, I think this is very good for basketball.'

The Her Time to Play program is part of Jr NBA's efforts to create a fun and inspiring environment for young female players.
