Namibia has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in the United States and the West Indies from June 1 to 29. The team will be led, squad by experienced all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus, with JJ Smit serving as his deputy.

The squad, announced, world features 12 players from the Africa Qualifier-winning team that secured Namibia's spot in the global tournament through an unbeaten run last year. However, the selection committee made a few notable changes, with the inclusion of inexperienced seamer Dylan Leicher, left-arm quick Ruben Trumpelmann, and teenage pacer Jack Brassell, who featured in the ICC Men's U19 Cricket World Cup earlier this year.

The biggest surprise in theworld, squad, checkannouncement was the omission of all-rounder Nicol Loftie-Eaton, who recently made headlines by smashing the fastest T20I century in men's cricket history with a 33-ball effort against Nepal in February 2024. Loftie-Eaton's exclusion is reportedly due to ongoing disciplinary proceedings in Namibia. Veteran Pikky Ya France and young batter Shawn Fouche also failed to make the cut.

Namibia, drawn in Group B, will make their third consecutive appearance at the world, member, squad Cup. Their tournament opener is scheduled for June 2 against Oman in Barbados, followed by matches against Scotland on June 7, Australia on June 12, and England on June 15. The team had a memorable run in the 2022 edition, stunning former champions Sri Lanka with a 55-run victory but failing to progress beyond the group stage.
